Vaping to be banned in cars with children and outside hospitals and GP surgeries in England
Vaping in England will be banned in cars carrying children, as well as in playgrounds and outside schools, under government plans.1The proposals would also ban smoking, vaping, and the use of heated tobacco products in areas outside hospitals, GP surgeries, and other health settings.Vaping and heated tobacco products will also be banned in indoor spaces where smoking is already forbidden, such as workplaces and public transport. But vaping could still be permitted inside designated NHS smoking cessation clinics that help smokers to quit.Outdoor hospitality settings such as pub gardens, open public spaces, and private gardens are not included in the plans.
