For journalists
BMJ Group’s press office provides registered journalists only with full access to embargoed press releases. We distribute our press releases via the media database Cision.

- Email mediarelations@bmj.com to confirm your registration and be added to our press release list
Journalists also have free access to BMJ Group’s journal collection, including The BMJ. To register for free access, please email mediarelations@bmj.com with your details so that we can process your request. Please note that access is granted for one year, after which you must contact support@bmj.com to renew.
Permission to publish text and/or illustrative content from any BMJ Group title can be obtained from our Rights and Licensing team: bmj.permissions@bmj.com
For external parties
If a journalist asks you to comment on an embargoed article, please ask them to send it directly to you.
We don’t include URL links to external sites or publications unless they are integral to the text of an article or part of the references.
We don’t accept marketing-related ‘guest’ blog posts on any of our journal websites. Ideas for blog posts that appeal to our international readership of doctors and other health professionals should be submitted for consideration to the relevant journal. Contact information can be found on that journal’s homepage.
