Lalitha Bhagavatheeswaran
Lalitha joined BMJ in 2018 and is the Engagement and Knowledge Manager for BMJ’s global health initiatives.
Previously, Lalitha has worked for organisations such as at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), Royal Society of Medicine, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto Wellcome Trust.
She has a wealth of experience in programme management, mixed-methods research and has conducted fieldwork in Uganda, Namibia, and India.
In unison with her current role, Lalitha is a steering committee member of the South Asian Adolescent Diabetes Awareness Programme at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health (University of Toronto) and the Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Global Health Film Initiative.
Lalitha has an MSc in Public Health from LSHTM, a Harvard School of Public Health, Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases summer session qualification in global infectious diseases, and a BSc in Integrative Biology and Health Studies from the University of Toronto.
