Dr Brandy Shillace

Brandy Schillace, PhD, is Senior Research Associate and Public Engagement and Programs Leader for the Dittrick Museum of Medical History. Dr Schillace writes about intersections of medicine, history, and literature. For ten years, she managed the medical anthropology journal, Culture, Medicine and Psychiatry, and edited its first medical humanities special issue. Brandy’s recent books include Death’s Summer Coat (2016), Clockwork Futures (2017) and Mr Humble and Dr Butcher: A Monkey’s Head, the Pope’s Neuroscientist, and the Quest to Transplant the Soul (2021).
Dr Declan Walsh
Editor-in-Chief of BMJ Supportive & Palliative Care
A pioneer in palliative medicine, Dr Declan Walsh is an internationally renowned physician, researcher, educator and administrator. He developed the first palliative care programme in the United States. In recognition of his achievements, he received the John Mendelsohn Award from MD Anderson Cancer Centre, a lifetime achievement award from the Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer and a Visionary Award from the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Dr Ellen Weber
Editor-in-Chief of Emergency Medicine Journal
Dr Ellen Weber is an emergency medicine physician in San Francisco, California. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and has been in practice for more than 20 years. She has worked clinically in community, county and academic emergency departments, and conducts research in topics related to health policy. She is currently a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Vice Chair at UCSF.
Dr Jinghong Chen
Deputy Editor of General Psychiatry
Dr Jinghong Chen is the joint deputy editor of General Psychiatry. She is currently the principal investigator at Shanghai Key Laboratory of Psychotic Disorders and professor at Shanghai Mental Health Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.
Dr James Cave

Dr James Cave has been a GP for over 25 years. He currently works for Red Whale, providing courses for GP’s that take the latest research and demonstrate how it might be used in practice. James was awarded an OBE for services to medicine in 2009.
